Throttle bandwidth on a network interface in Linux

Wondershaper can limit upload and download speeds, useful if one machine is using all of your bandwidth. For example, to limit download to 200 kilobits and upload to 100 run:
wondershaper eth0 200 100 And to remove existing limits:
wondershaper clear eth0 Also, iftop is useful to work out a reasonable limit and see the affects of throttling.
